- Who drives?
- Only members your church has approved to drive. RideSmart never brings in drivers from outside your community. It is not a taxi service or a commercial rideshare platform, and it doesn’t employ or pay drivers.
- Who screens drivers and handles insurance?
- Your church does, under its own volunteer and safety policies. RideSmart records who you’ve approved; it doesn’t run background checks or provide insurance.
- Do members need to install an app?
- Riders can reply from any web browser, no install needed. Drivers use the RideSmart app for iPhone and Android for their route; it isn’t in the app stores yet. Guests you invite by link just use their email.
- What if a driver drops out on the day?
- The coordinator moves that driver’s riders to another car from the plan, and the people affected are updated.
- Can RideSmart send plans without us?
- Only if you turn on automatic sending. It’s off by default, so a coordinator reviews and sends every plan.
- What does it cost?
- Pricing isn’t set yet. Founding churches start with a free pilot and talk with us before anything is billed.
