Do riders need to install an app?
No. Members can RSVP and share where they need a pickup from a simple link or join code, with no app-store download required. Drivers get their route to open in Google or Apple Maps.
Who can be a driver?
Your own volunteers. A coordinator approves which members can offer rides, so drivers are always people inside your ministry, not strangers.
Is my members’ information private?
Yes. Member details are used only to coordinate rides for your events. RideSmart does not sell, share, or use them for advertising.
Does RideSmart decide the matches for me?
It suggests them. Auto-matching gives you a sensible starting point, and you can adjust any pairing or pickup by hand before anything goes out. You stay in control.
Can we use RideSmart for a recurring service or program?
Yes. Coordinators can create recurring rides for weekly services and programs, while still managing each event as its own ride when plans change.
What happens when a volunteer driver cancels?
The coordinator can review the affected assignment and update the plan. RideSmart keeps the rider, driver, and route information together so the next decision is clear.
Can drivers use Google Maps or Apple Maps?
Yes. Once a route is ready, drivers can open it in Google or Apple Maps instead of learning a separate navigation tool.
Is RideSmart a taxi or commercial rideshare service?
No. RideSmart is coordination software for an organization’s own members and approved volunteer drivers. It does not employ, dispatch, or pay drivers.
